What is Water Therapy?

Water therapy is well established in Japan and is the practice of drinking water upon waking. The main difference is that the Indian (Ayurvedic) method suggests drinking 1.5 litres of water upon awakening. This has been a discussion point amongst experts with some warning against it.

As our kidneys are only able to process 800 to 1,000 ml of water per hour, the Indian version of water therapy is potentially dangerous and should be avoided.
